    Job Summary:

    The Director of Field Operations and Training will lead the development and implementation of best-in-class capabilities to drive outstanding sales performance. The Director will ensure Radius Field Sales teams operate in a highly effective and efficient manner.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Providing key inputs into strategic and operational planning, pertaining to overall sales force effectiveness
    • Recommending optimal sales force size and structure design options, based on robust analyses/input from vendors, Sales Leadership, and other appropriate sources.
    • Delivering sales execution and performance reporting platform/reports for key success metrics.
    • Offering world-class content/delivery to build, sustain, and grow critical customer relationships. enhance field-based selling skills, field coaching and feedback, business analytics, and other critical skillsets.

    This position will monitor innovation trends, introduce operational best practices, and respond to market changes that can affect the sales force and enhance productivity by developing appropriate response plans. The Director will lead a cross-functional team that consistently seeks to optimize and improve sales excellence through tools, processes and programs. The individual will be a key liaison between the marketing teams, sales force and other key stakeholders within the US Commercial Organization.

     

    • Direct activities within the Sales Operations areas including delivery of sales performance metrics, management/accounting of sales headcount and budget resources, Sales planning cycles, field communication, incentive compensation, sales meeting planning, fleet management and sample accountability.
    • Drive the Field Sales organization’s strategic approach to field sales training; focusing on development and implementation of clinical learning modules (both Radius products and therapeutic area competitors), effective selling and customer interaction modules (developed in conjunction with external vendors), leadership development content and programs, and raising the skills and impact of Radius teams.
    • Lead all activities in support of designing and implementing field sales structure, territory alignment and staff deployment. Guide external vendors and Sales Management on sales planning activities including territory alignment updates, promotional cycle planning and CSO engagement in alignment with corporate strategy.
    • Oversee Field Sales enablement platform structures and support - including Sales Force analytic/reporting systems; as well as data transfer and capture processes. Also manages the Field Sales Customer Master File operating procedures and management process, ensuring sales organization efficient and secure access to customer and prescription data.

     

    Qualifications

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA or related Masters-level degree is preferred.
    • 10+ years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry; with leadership responsibilities across a mix of Sales, Sales Training, Commercial Operations and Marketing positions, with at least 5 years of Sales Operations and Training experience specifically
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in driving Sales Force Effectiveness initiatives, best practices evolution, improved business processes and commercial systems knowledge Highly effective communication and organizational influencing skills
    • Previous people management experience required; along with demonstrated staff development skills
    • Strong project management skills; demonstrated ability to drive large, complex cross-functional projects
    • Excellent cross-functional collaborative skills across multiple key stakeholders to support the company’s commercial objectives
    • Planning & budgeting expertise
