  • Overview

    The Contracts Administrator provides contract management, database administration and administrative support on a variety of matters to the Legal Department for a growing public bio-pharmaceutical company. This position will be based in Waltham, MA.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for administration of the contract management process, including:
      • Maintenance of the contracts management system (Axxerion).
      • Trains colleagues on the use of the system.
      • Manages the contract request intake process.
      • Tracks contract requests and approvals within the system.
      • Forwards contract requests to team members, as appropriate.
      • Ensures accurate and consistent data collection.
      • Archives & retrieves executed contracts in the system.
      • Runs periodic and ad hoc reports from the system.
    • Prepares contracts from contract templates.
    • Maintains internal contract administration processes.
    • Trains colleagues on contracts Policies and contract management processes.
    • Assists other members of the Legal Department on various other tasks and projects, as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
    • 3 - 5 years of related experience in corporate legal department in biotech or pharmaceutical company.
    • Works well under pressure and able to handle multiple priorities.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Problem solving skills, with the ability to develop and improve processes.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; familiarity with Axxerion a plus.
