Radius is seeking a high energy Procurement professional to lead the sourcing efforts in the Commercial and Medical Affairs areas. This position will focus on collaborating with the Marketing, Sales, and Medical Affairs teams to understand their functional spend and supply requirements, collaboratively develop a category strategy, and execute the strategy as agreed upon. The services spend in this category could cover such areas as digital media & production, creative agencies, print and social media content providers, market, managed care, pricing research, sales programs and support, speaker bureaus, and related professional services. Experience using a disciplined sourcing process and ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively with internal business partners to establish this new paradigm will be highly valued.

This individual will be critical to the development of the category management model, and will be required to build the functional processes, tools, and “brand” as a baseline for future category expansion. The role will be based in Wayne PA, reporting into centralized procurement in Waltham MA.


  • Assist in developing and implementing an overall sourcing process that delivers the right level of service and outcomes through the identification of business needs, planning, defining the strategy, strategy execution, supplier selection and contracting, and post contract support.
  • Work closely with internal business partners to set category objectives and pipeline of initiatives.
  • Assist the functional leader in prioritizing and managing all sourcing initiatives for assigned categories; coordinate efforts with supported functions as necessary.
  • Assist the functional leader in the development and documentation of specifications, as required, to properly assess and manage supplier base.
  • Align with legal and other compliance functions to ensure all relevant contracts, healthcare professional interactions, and other obligations are processed and documented in accordance with company policy.
  • Manage results back to objectives to ensure high internal business partner satisfaction and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with procurement operations, such as new vendor onboarding, and manage purchase order placement to provide seamless service for the functions supported.
  • Assist with all aspects of the contracting process to include CDA, RFPs, MSAs and SOWs.




  • BS/BA is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry supporting commercial category management, including supply market analysis, sourcing strategy development and execution, supplier assessment and risk mitigation, pricing and performance based contract negotiations, and post-contracting supplier relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to expand category influence as indicated by increasing spend under management.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and utilizing eSourcing tools.
  • Strong communication, project management, and analytical skills are a must. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Professional qualification / certification from related professional body, (i.e., ISM CPM or CPSM) would be an added advantage.
